Education

Education is fundamental to human progress. It is something very basic yet very important to all of us. Education means the fostering of personality through the unhampered development of innate qualities of a human being. It aims at integrated development of personality.

Since the liberalisation of Indian economy, the education sector has been opened up for the private sector. Unlike other countries where education is fully financed and managed by the government, India stands separate where private schools are much better when compared to the government schools in terms of Infrastructure, Quality education and Syllabus.

Like in other aspects, even in the education system, government fails to keep up to the mark and provide the students with basic amenities. It is even worse to know that half the teachers who teach in these government schools are either under qualified or uneducated.

One of the major drawbacks of our present system of education in India is that it gives our students the impression that their aim in life is to pass the university examinations, instead of becoming a man of good character and sound temperament. This mentality has many socio-economic evils rooted in it. Naturally, the products of such education system do not contribute to the development of the country, but add to its woes. It is time change, a solid change and we need to start it by imparting the importance of it to all teachers and students as well.

‘’Education is not a preparation for Life. It is life itself.’’
