Shaming

India has been one of the most socially abused countries in the world, in its own society by shaming people whether it is slut shaming, body shaming, mother shaming, victim shaming or even colour shaming. For instance, Priyanka Chopra was shamedfor wearing a frock to meet PM Narendra Modi. Rape and molestation victims were shamed for sharing their experiences and Zaira Wasim was shamed because apparently, it was a publicity stunt when she talked about getting molested. Numerous other common girls and women were shamed for numerous other things.

Shaming is a way for the perverts of the world to get some sort of twisted pleasure at the expense of women. If we are intelligent enough, we have to stop all kinds of shaming or risk becoming a shoddy and crude nation which does not understand the value of personal choices.

We are nobody to judge others for their choices or their looks. We should accept and embrace each other’s flaws and also help them overcome it and not just blame them for something which happened out of their choice such as their colour or their caste.

‘’Be proud of who you are, and not ashamed of how someone else sees you.’’
