Farmer’s struggle

“What will it be like to be the owner of something you manufacture, and yet are unable to consume or use it in the proportion YOU want to?’’

Yes, Farmers go through that every day. With each passing day their problems have only been increasing to an extent we hardly can imagine. As responsible citizens the least we can do is not waste the food we eat. Once in our lifetime we may need a Doctor, a Lawyer, and also a policeman, but every day, three times a day we need a Farmer!

A farmer is the only man in our economy who buys everything in retail, sells everything at wholesale and pays the freight both ways. India is a country where people do not recognize anything until it comes from the West, be it Yoga or even Organic farming.

They find committing suicide is easier than to fight for their rights. Such a situation arises only because of the negligence of people like us who can just see the news behind the anonymity of their TV screens and blame the government for everything. It’s time now where we realize the seriousness of this issue and do what we have to.

“If you ate today, thank a farmer!”
